Special No23 Millstone SMDW CS PX 2014

Immediately after pouring it becomes clear that this is a dark and rich whisky. The whisky has the typical notes that can be expected of a whisky that aged 7 years on a PX sherry cask. First impression is more fresh than sweet but if you give it some time in your glass a more complex and finely balanced character reveals itself. The unique characteristics of this whisky originate from a crystal clear wort that ferments slow on low temperatures. After fermentation it is distilled slowly with and early cut point from hearts to tails. After distillation this whisky aged entirely on Petro Ximénez sherry casks. Aging on these casks give this whisky its beautiful color and enhances the elegant, rich and sweet notes and depth in taste.
