Old Pulteney Huddart Single Malt

With the Huddart, Old Pulteney's house style is complemented with a smoky edge. For this whiskey, second fill Bourbon casks are used to mature and then the whiskey is finished in casks on which smoky whiskey has first been aged.

Tasting Notes:
Color: Rich gold.
Nose: Rich and warming. Soft wood smoke, honey and leather. Later, there are notes of fresh green apple with creamy vanilla in the background and a hint of burnt toffee.
Taste: Freshly ground spices and soft vanilla balance the notes of smoke and peat. Both richly sweet and pronounced salty 'coastal aromas' in the background, which together are reminiscent of salted caramel.
Finish: Simultaneously sweet and salty with a slightly smoky peat touch.
