For this barrel we collaborated with the rum brand Cane Island. As we love Jamaican style rums, we chose their Cane Island – Jamaica to put on a Rummieclub barrel for extra aging. With 41,2% abv it’s a relatively easygoing, but interesting rum.

Fully matured in ex-bourbon casks for up to 8 years in the tropical climate of Barbados, which resulted in a well-balanced rum with a full bodied and rich flavour. Notes of vanilla, coconut, toffee and toasted marshmallows and subtle oak tannines.

Gold amber colour. A warm floral palate with pleasant notes of toffee and caramel. The typical Trinidadian spicy wood flavours are well balanced with delicate sweetness, followed by a very gentle finish.

Copper brown colour. Deep and complex character. A typical Jamaican rum with a great balance between fruity pot still flavours and the woodiness that resulted from tropical barrel ageing.
