Alvi's Drift 221 Chenin Blanc

The grapes are harvested early in the morning because it is not that hot yet. This helps to get the most fruity wine possible. In addition, only the best grape juice is used at Alvi's Drift. The cold fermentation in stainless steel vats also contributes to optimum freshness. The wine is light straw yellow in color and has a dusty nose of flowers and passion fruit. The mouthfeel is soft and filmy with white peach and nectarine as protagonists. In the glass, all this results in a beautiful combination of intense aromas, complexity and length, a textbook example of a South African Chenin Blanc.
